** Bonus tip for cabs Rome/ Big cities in Italy:Ā
Download FreeNow.Ā
The cab drivers WILL rip you off. So when you get off plane/train into Rome (there a direct train from FCO to Rome Termini the main train station is better)/ Milan/ any big cities if you want to take cab, order with a FreeNow so they can't gyp you. And if a cab driver ever tries to give you a flat rate. They're gypping you too. Legally they have to run the meter and you can report them to the cops if they don't. Meter will usu be cheaper. But easiest is FreeNow. It's like an Uber.
